Duties / Responsibilities As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will provide comprehensive clinical and patient care support to a diverse patient population, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Responsibilities include preparing and rooming patients for examinations, obtaining and documenting clinical information, assisting physicians with procedures, performing assigned nursing and clinical procedures, safely administering medications, and supporting patients throughout the care process. Key responsibilities include performing waived and moderately complex laboratory testing, operating and maintaining diagnostic and screening equipment, documenting and recording test results, and supporting the office’s laboratory quality control program. The LPN will also maintain accurate patient and laboratory records, monitor supplies and equipment, stock examination rooms, and ensure appropriate inventory levels. The position requires a strong understanding of infection prevention, safety protocols, patient rights, and emergency procedures. The LPN is expected to remain calm and effective during emergencies, follow established protocols, communicate appropriately with the healthcare team, and maintain accurate and timely documentation. The role also requires strong clinical judgment, accountability, professionalism, and a commitment to providing safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care.
