Art Director

Our Greater Boston area client is looking for an Art Director for an immediate full time hire; this role is onsite 3 days a week and remote the other 2— you'll work closely with the Client Services and Project Management team supporting 150+ events a year and primarily working on 2D design— this is not a managerial role but you will also be handing off work to 2-3 Designers on the team. Projects may range from booth design to displays at conferences to marketing collateral. As the Art Director, you will work on concept to production of creative 2D layouts, designs, presentations, and graphic roadmaps for client deliverables relating to exhibit design and some virtual exhibit design. What You’ll Do Design graphics and manage client(s) branding for face-to-face 2D marketing projects Oversee and manage the design and development of 2D virtual exhibits/environments Create UX/UI virtual experience maps, communicate/manage with outside virtual developers Design presentations or proposals using current technology and software tools Drive, manage, and oversee the client creative process from inception through delivery Work with project teams, designers, and clients’ agencies to ensure delivery of design projects Utilize exceptional communication skills: connect with design, client services, and production to serve as a focal point to all parties involved, not just the design department Maintain advanced design skills on the most current Adobe Creative Cloud software Trouble‑shoot technical issues in graphic files used for pre‑press and printing Display leadership results to all team members What You’ll Do With Some Internal Training Work with graphic production to check details of physical assets as they are being built Create and submit internal PO orders as needed Plan and manage resources to meet client commitments and deadlines, including designers, media partners and vendors Update status of your design projects through internal Project Manager software Qualifications What we’d love to see: At least 10 years’ experience as a graphic designer 5+ years in the trade show or exhibit industry, with a concentration on healthcare/pharmaceutical branding Excellent knowledge of 2D and 3D design technique Working UX/UI knowledge and experience Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field Excellent knowledge of design software (Adobe CC) in the MacOS platform, plus Microsoft Office administration programs such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams #J-18808-Ljbffr Creative Cove Inc.
