Founding Non-Clinical Director (LCSW) Part-Time Consulting Leadership Position Position Title Founding Non-Clinical Director (LCSW) Organization Voice Up Classification Independent Contractor (Consulting) Employment Status Part-Time, Non-Clinical Leadership Consulting Position Compensation $50.00–$75.00 per hour, commensurate with qualifications, experience, and demonstrated expertise. Estimated Time Commitment: 5–8 hours per month Reports To Founder Position Summary Voice Up seeks a Founding Non-Clinical Director (LCSW) to provide strategic leadership, professional mentorship, workforce development guidance, and interdisciplinary collaboration support during the organization's formative growth phase. This position is intentionally non-clinical and does not involve the provision of psychotherapy, clinical supervision for licensure, diagnosis, treatment planning, utilization review, medical necessity determinations, billing oversight, or direct clinical service delivery. The Founding Non-Clinical Director serves as a strategic advisor and thought partner supporting Voice Up's mission: "Connect people to purpose creating positive impact that transforms societies one conversation, one person at a time." The role focuses on helping individuals recognize strengths, develop professional identity, engage in reflective practice, explore workforce opportunities, and participate in purpose-driven educational and career pathways. The position is particularly aligned with emerging opportunities at the intersection of: Behavioral health Workforce development Public health Community engagement Reflective practice Higher education partnerships Human-centered artificial intelligence Implementation and systems innovation This role is expected to contribute to the development of sustainable workforce activation strategies while helping shape the long-term vision and organizational infrastructure of Voice Up. Organizational Background Voice Up is an emerging workforce development and research-informed organization built upon ongoing doctoral research examining how individuals identify, understand, and apply their strengths within educational, workforce, and community environments. The organization operates from the principle that many individuals possess valuable leadership abilities, communication skills, caregiving experiences, resilience, relational intelligence, and workforce-relevant competencies that frequently remain unidentified or underutilized by traditional systems. Voice Up seeks to help individuals discover, define, and develop these strengths while creating meaningful pathways toward personal growth, professional development, community engagement, and workforce participation. The organization currently maintains relationships and engagement activities spanning numerous higher education institutions, community partners, workforce initiatives, behavioral health stakeholders, and emerging AI-enabled workforce opportunities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The Founding Non-Clinical Director may perform duties including, but not limited to: Strategic Leadership Provide guidance regarding organizational growth and development. Advise leadership on workforce development initiatives and emerging opportunities. Participate in strategic planning discussions. Assist with development of organizational priorities and implementation strategies. Support the advancement of mission-driven programming. Workforce Development and Mentorship Provide mentorship and professional development guidance to students, interns, volunteers, and emerging professionals. Support workforce readiness initiatives. Assist individuals in identifying transferable skills and strengths. Encourage reflective professional growth and career exploration. Promote ethical leadership and professional accountability. Interdisciplinary Collaboration Participate in meetings with academic, workforce, community, and public health partners as requested. Contribute subject matter expertise related to behavioral health workforce issues. Assist with partnership development and relationship cultivation. Promote collaborative problem-solving approaches. Program Development Review and provide feedback regarding educational materials, workforce development activities, internship structures, and community engagement initiatives. Assist in identifying opportunities for program enhancement. Contribute recommendations for improving participant engagement and outcomes. Quality and Ethical Guidance Promote ethical, professional, and mission-aligned practices. Provide consultation regarding professional standards applicable to workforce development activities. Support organizational efforts to maintain quality improvement practices. Assist leadership in identifying potential risks and mitigation strategies. Public Health and Community Engagement Provide consultation related to behavioral health and community-based workforce challenges. Support community engagement initiatives when appropriate. Assist with efforts designed to strengthen community partnerships and workforce pathways. Required Qualifications Applicants must possess: Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from an accredited institution. Current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential in good standing. Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in behavioral health, healthcare, social services, public health, higher education, workforce development, or related fields. Demonstrated experience collaborating across multidisciplinary environments. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organizational, professional judgment, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently in a remote and flexible environment. Preferred Qualifications Preference may be given to candidates with experience in: Workforce development initiatives Higher education partnerships Public health programs Behavioral health systems transformation Community engagement initiatives Program design and implementation Research-informed practice Mentorship and leadership development Artificial intelligence workforce applications Grant-funded initiatives and collaborative projects Core Competencies The successful candidate demonstrates commitment to Voice Up's foundational principles: Collaboration Humility Precision Patience Empathy In addition, successful candidates exhibit: Strategic thinking Ethical leadership Reflective practice Relationship building Professional accountability Cultural responsiveness Effective communication Systems thinking Work Environment Primarily remote position. Flexible scheduling. Periodic virtual meetings. Occasional participation in partner meetings, events, workshops, or strategic planning activities as mutually agreed. Independent Contractor Notice This position is structured as an independent contractor consulting engagement and does not constitute employment. The selected consultant is responsible for all applicable taxes, insurance obligations, professional licensure maintenance, and other requirements associated with independent contractor status. No employee benefits are provided through this position. Growth Opportunity The Founding Non-Clinical Director position is designed as an initial leadership consulting role supporting the foundational development of Voice Up. As organizational capacity, partnerships, and funding expand, this role may evolve into a larger leadership opportunity with increased responsibilities and organizational influence. The long-term vision includes helping shape innovative approaches to workforce development, behavioral health leadership, higher education engagement, public health collaboration, and human-centered participation within the emerging AI economy.
