Customer Service & Logistics Coordinator

Surestaff is immediately hiring for a Customer Service & Logistics Coordinator for a large distribution center located in Joliet, IL. The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for processing customer orders and making sure they get to the proper location each day. Surestaff is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($20/hr.) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).

Available shifts include: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

Responsibilities of the Customer Service & Logistics Coordinator:

• Process customer orders, distribution accounts, invoicing, billing, and daily data entry for receiving, shipping, inventory management, and ETMS transactions.
• Prepare accurate operational reports, maintain inventory records, monitor product availability, and process receipts, puts away, moves, picks, shipments, cycle counts, returns, damage records, and backorder logs.
• Coordinate transportation activities, including rating domestic freight, expediting shipments, tracking orders, verifying invoices, and ensuring accurate customer billing.
• Serve as the primary liaison between customers, warehouse personnel, and internal departments by resolving inquiries, coordinating account activities, communicating shipment updates, and reporting customer feedback to management.
• Maintain customer order documentation, procedures manuals, inventory records, and administrative files while providing general clerical support, including phone coverage, filing, research, and special projects.

Preferred Qualifications of the Customer Service & Logistics Coordinator:

• Bi-lingual abilities a plus.
• Typing experience- 30 wpm
• 10-key by touch
• Previous experience working in an office environment
• Knowledge of the global logistics industry
• Proficient computer skills, specifically MS Office programs
• Ability to work in a very busy and active office environment
• Education (preferred level) high school degree.
• Experience (minimum level of direct experience in a similar position) 2 years.
• Previous experience in inventory control and/or distribution operations
