Position: CT Technologist

Shift:

• Day 3x12-Hour (06:00 - 18:30)
• Day 3x12-Hour (08:00 - 20:30)

Description:

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist for a variable days position with high volume expectations. The selected candidate can expect to perform 30-40+ scans during a 12-hour shift. This role requires self-scheduling based on seniority, and candidates may be asked to pick up voluntary shifts outside of contracted times, including nights and weekends. The ideal candidate must be open to working on 3 out of 5 major holidays and should be comfortable functioning independently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist is required.
• Community hospital experience is preferred.
• Certifications needed: BLS, ARRT (CT or R), ARRT Advanced, CA CRT.
• The facility uses GE and Toshiba equipment.
• Must be capable of working independently and efficiently.
• Orientation hours may be provided as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform CT scans on patients of various age groups, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
• Prepare and administer contrast media safely and effectively.
• Ensure radiation safety is maintained at all times.
• Assist with patient transport as necessary based on unit staffing needs.
• Manage high-volume patient flow, particularly from the Emergency Department.

Work Environment:

This role is situated in a very busy department that primarily serves Emergency Department patients in a high-volume, primary stroke receiving center. While there is transport support, CT Technologists are encouraged to assist when necessary.

Additional Information:

• Travelers may be expected to float between neighboring facilities as needed.
• Communication devices (e.g., cell phones) needed for job responsibilities will be provided at no cost.
• Module training will be required, with an average of 16 hours spent self-reporting time.
