Job Description The primary role of the Speech Language Pathologist is to direct all aspects of quality patient care, including evaluation and treatment, treatment planning, goal setting, family education, and documentation according to organizational guidelines, professional standards, and community needs. The role also involves serving as a patient and rehabilitation advocate for current and prospective patients, communicating with internal and external customers, and participating in quality assurance and customer service activities. Qualifications Graduate of an approved curriculum in Speech Language Pathology, able to practice unencumbered, in good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards, and with working knowledge of Medicare and other payer sources. Must exhibit full knowledge of residents’ rights, professionalism in presentation, and the ability to multitask effectively.
