Position Summary

The function of this position is to complete all aspects of assembling and packaging bowling alley kits and finishings.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Run various pieces of process equipment safely.
• Monitor quality and assemble kits.
• Stack box kits on skids ensuring they are properly stacked, boxed, banded and/or crated.
• Learn storage procedures.
• Verify piece counts for boxes and skids.
• Assist in moving boxes and skids when necessary.
• Assist in building packaging when necessary.
• Maintain a supply of materials needed to complete kits.
• Responsible for cleaning parts as necessary to maintain quality standards.
• Obtain quota as directed.
• Responsible for the cleaning and housekeeping of work area daily.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to three years of industrial experience and/or training in a manufacturing, construction or similar field.

Core/Functional Competencies

• Dependability, good attendance.
• Work in a team environment and independently.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms.
• Ability to read and understand blue prints of parts.
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Physical and Mental Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms and talk and hear.
• Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
