AP SPECIALIST

Accounts Payable Specialist Job Location: Rocklin, CA 95765 Salary Range: $25.00 - $30.00 hourly Job Category: Accounting Position The Accounts Payable Specialist will be involved in invoice verification, data entry, resolving discrepancies, maintaining vendor data for various locations. Reporting This position is responsible to the Controller. FLSA Status Exempt Essential Job Functions Reviews and evaluates accounts payable to ensure completeness and accuracy 1099 setup and filing Positive Pay submission Routinely reviews applicable accounting reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement or cost-savings. Job Functions Proficient in MS Office applications Strong communication skills and able to work effectively with operational leaders Highly motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can take ownership of projects with minimal supervision Able to work some off‑hours necessary to complete the monthly close process Physical Capacities Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday; must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that enable these senses to function adequately; must meet general health requirements; must be able to sit for extended periods; must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds; must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress of the position. Environmental Conditions Primarily inside work, normal temperatures, some noise, occasional fumes/odors, chemical exposure, and potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens. This job cannot be performed without exposure to stresses associated with an intimate, 24‑hour skilled care environment that delivers care and services primarily to disabled and cognitively impaired residents in an aging population. Examples of these stresses include emergency health or safety response, weekend and holiday duty, unusual or impaired behavior by residents, family reactions to having a loved one in a nursing home, death and dying, oversight of state surveyors, ombudsmen and federal officials, presence of consultants and attorneys, and variable involvement of medical staff. HIPAA and Mandated Reporting This position is a Mandated Reporter regarding the suspicion of elder abuse and may have access to Protected Health Information (PHI). HIPAA is a law that must be followed by all healthcare personnel at every level. Qualifications / Requirements Education: High school diploma or higher License: None required Work Experience: Accounts Payable (2+ years). Skilled Nursing Healthcare experience a plus. PointClickCare experience a plus. Stampli experience is a plus. Language Skills: Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information, and to be easily understood through verbal communication in English. Mathematical Skills: Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
