Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Up Stream Physiotherapy Clinic, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting thorough evaluations to assess patients' physical capabilities and conditions, including a detailed review of medical history and conducting specific assessments.
• Creating personalized treatment plans that incorporate patient and family goals, ensuring active participation in their rehabilitation process.
• Implementing treatment protocols that reflect best practices and are tailored to individual patient needs.
• Regularly monitoring patient progress and adjusting the treatment plan as necessary, including communicating essential updates to other healthcare team members.
• Documenting evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries with accuracy and comprehensiveness, in accordance with healthcare regulations.
• Managing time effectively to meet productivity standards while maintaining a patient-focused approach.
• Participating in hospital and community outreach initiatives to promote awareness of physical therapy services.
• Continuously pursuing professional growth through ongoing education opportunities and mentorship.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with adult patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will guide them through individualized therapy sessions aimed at restoring function, alleviating pain, and optimizing physical performance. Our patients come from diverse backgrounds and are often seeking enhanced mobility and a return to their active lifestyles.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy. A Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
• Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Experience

While previous work experience is not strictly required, applicants who have experience in orthopedic settings or who have participated in clinical internships will be viewed favorably. A strong desire to learn and grow within the field is essential.
