Job Summary:

The Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Sonographer performs advanced high-risk obstetric ultrasound examinations to support the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of maternal and fetal conditions. The role includes assisting physicians with invasive procedures and ensuring the delivery of accurate, high-quality imaging for patient care.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Conduct a variety of high-risk obstetric ultrasound studies according to established protocols.
  
  
• 
  Assist MFM physicians with invasive procedures such as amniocentesis and CVS.
  
  
• 
  Import and accurately document images and clinical data into Viewpoint and PACS systems.
  
  
• 
  Evaluate fetal anatomy, growth, and well-being; identify and communicate abnormal findings.
  
  
• 
  Educate and support patients pre-, during, and post-procedures.
  
  
• 
  Maintain examination rooms, ensure cleanliness, and perform high-level disinfection of transducers.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Complete an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program through CAAHEP.
  
  
• 
  Hold ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (OB/GYN) credential.
  
  
• 
  Possess ARDMS Fetal Echocardiography (FE) registry.
  
  
• 
  Preferably have two (2) years of experience in maternal fetal medicine or high-risk obstetrics.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate strong judgment, professionalism, and the ability to work under pressure.
