PRN Tier 3 Requirements

\n

- Four (4) shifts per pay period

\n

- Three (3) weekend shifts per quarter

\n

- Two (2) MHS recognized holidays* per calendar year

\n

Your Job:

\n Registered nurse renders highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients. Works closely with NICU and L&D RNs to provide care for the newborn from birth until 2hr transfer to post-partum, continued care for boarder babies, and monitoring of transitioning newborns. \n

\n Provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).

\n

\n

Supports the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of Methodist Health System.

\n Your Job Requirements:

\n • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
\n • Current Basic Life Support Certification
\n • Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so \n

• Work experience: 2 years RN experience

\n

• Work experience: 1 year in L&D or NICU with delivery newborn care experience

\n

Ensures complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information.

\n Provides a therapeutic environment through safe, accurate, and timely medication and IV administration.

\n Takes personal responsibility and initiative for performance and for professional growth and development.

\n

\n Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality patient care is provided throughout the episode of care.

\n

\n Other duties as assigned.
