Radiology Support Coordinator

Nemours is seeking a Radiology Support Coordinator (Casual/PRN), to join our Nemours Children's Health team in Orlando, Florida.

This position is responsible for:

• Facilitating and enhancing the working environment for the Radiologists and Department by improving workflow to increase efficiency and productivity.
• Effectively communicating critical test results to referring physicians and healthcare providers in an accurate and timely manner.
• Enhancing patient safety and flow by assisting the Radiologist in managing patient information and priority.
• Following HIPAA organizational policies and guidelines.
• Providing support for all aspects of customer service for the Radiology Department.
• Facilitating outside study reads by appropriately uploading studies to PACS and completing the order process.
• Providing film digitization, CD creation to fulfill patient and healthcare provider requests.
• Triaging stat and routine imaging errors.
• Resolving Epic errors.
• Managing multiple partner systems and troubleshooting images not crossing to our system.
• Facilitating downtime process with reconciling orders.
• Assisting in PACS support functions such as unlocking reports for radiologists, archiving studies, anonymization of scans, establishing connections and managing operations of image sharing with outside facilities.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma required. Associate's Degree preferred.
• Three (3) to six (6) months job related experience preferred.
• 1 year hospital experience preferred.
• Medical Terminology experience preferred.
• Regular attendance is required. Must be able to work a flexible schedule and must have reliable transportation.
• Good Communication skills are required.
