Enjoy a rewarding 12-hour shift schedule with comprehensive benefits and a family-oriented culture.Quick Facts:Location: 2510 West Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, Shreveport, LA 71118Start Date: 05/18/2026End Date: 08/15/2026Shift: 19:00 – 07:00 (Night Shift)Hours/Week: 36 hours (3 shifts) or as negotiatedEmployment Type: ContractLicensure/Certs: Valid RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS; NRP preferredExperience: Minimum 2 years of PICU experience; cross-training to Adult ICU and Med/Tele preferredPay & Benefits:Competitive hourly pay rate of $53.60Weekly pay schedule via direct depositComprehensive medical benefits (W-2)Robust referral bonus programPaid sick time per applicable lawsLicensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements as applicableWhat You'll Do:Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric intensive care patients, including those with MS, DKA, Sepsis, Respiratory Failure, and post-surgical neuro issuesTitrate medications such as pressors, insulin, heparin, and pain meds under physician oversightCollect peripheral blood samples; manage drains, wound vacs, and IVs (PIV, CVL, telemetry)Collaborate with hospitalist, intensivist, and RT teams ensuring comprehensive patient careFollow hospital protocols for patient monitoring, documentation, and safetySupport unit operations during flexible and rotating shifts, including weekends and holidaysWhat You Need:Required:Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible for licensureBLS, ACLS, PALS certifications; NRP preferredMinimum 2 years PICU experience, with cross-training ability for Adult ICU or Med/Tele as neededStrong clinical skills in titrating pressors, insulin, and other critical medsAbility to pass an EKG competency exam prior to arrivalPreferred:Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR, Alaris infusion pumps, and Pyxis medication systemExperienced in phlebotomy and managing complex pediatric neuro or respiratory casesComfortable working in a traveler-friendly, family-oriented environmentAbout the Assignment:This opportunity is at a leading healthcare facility in Shreveport, LA, specializing in pediatric intensive care.
