Phlebotomy Team Lead

Labcorp is a global leader in diagnostics and drug development. We are seeking a Phlebotomy Team Leader in Maplewood, NJ. Work schedule: Monday - Friday availability between 7am-7pm and alternating Saturdays. Responsibilities Provide coverage and travel to various sites to perform phlebotomy duties. Assist in the supervision of a team of phlebotomists covering multiple Patient Service Centers and client sites. Observe new employee performance and report observations to the supervisor. Perform site inspections on a regular basis and accurately report all findings. Provide continuous training to phlebotomy staff as directed. Complete new hire and annual competency assessments when necessary. Manage and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logs. Address any customer service related issues in a prompt and respectful manner. Review daily/weekly schedule with supervisor and make schedule adjustments as needed. Promote teamwork, cohesiveness and effective communication among coworkers. Perform all duties of a phlebotomist and site coordinator as needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Three (3) or more years of experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications Five (5) or more years of phlebotomy experience. Three (3) or more years of experience as a people leader. Additional Job Standards In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency must be provided. In-depth knowledge of phlebotomy duties, responsibilities and techniques. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills; both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortably working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable.
