Hours of Work: 7P to 7A Days Of Week: 3X12 hour shift Work Shift: 12X3 Night (United States of America) Job Description In this highly technical, fast‑paced, and challenging Certified Respiratory Therapist position, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for patients. The Respiratory Therapist consistently performs evidence based pulmonary care and diagnostic testing in accordance with physician orders and evidence based protocols. Job Requirements Currently licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) by the state of Texas Current Basic Life Support certification required Advanced Cardio Life Support, NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support where applicable – must obtain within 1 year of hire Certified by the National Board for Respiratory Care, must be Registry eligible and obtain Registered status within 6 months of hire At least 6months respiratory care experience preferred Job Responsibilities Communicate clearly and openly Build relationships to promote a collaborative environment Be accountable for your performance Always look for ways to improve the patient experience Take initiative for your professional growth Be engaged and eager to build a winning team Actively participate in the quality assurance process Perform job duties in accordance with best practices for customer satisfaction and MHS Standards of Performance, and avoid or mitigate patient/customer complaints Perform accurate and timely documentation of interventions and measurements on patient’s medical record, hospital records and other departmental records Collaborate with leadership to achieve department volume/productivity goals Perform laboratory procedures and diagnostic testing in compliance with lab and hospital policies as well as standards of accrediting authorities (TJC, CAP, CLIA, etc.) Perform safe evidence‑based patient care in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures Take personal responsibility and initiative for performance and professional growth and development; contribute to a healthy and harmonious workplace by demonstrating effective interpersonal skills and behaving in a professional manner Participate in recognition programs, celebrations, and other employee engagement initiatives Receive assignments, coaching, feedback, and directions in a professional manner Modify therapy in accordance with guidelines and evidence‑based practices (Respiratory Protocol Compliance) Other duties as assigned #J-18808-Ljbffr
