Global Trade Director

Responsibilities Oversee existing trade and customs program, including maintaining a comprehensive global trade compliance program, ensuring adherence to import/export regulations and customs laws. Manage Harmonized System (HS) classification, customs valuation, country of origin determination, and other import/export requirements for all products and components. Oversee duty and tariff management, including identifying opportunities for duty minimization programs (e.g., Free Trade Agreements, duty drawback, special customs regimes). Collaborate closely with Supply Chain/Order Fulfillment, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure efficient and compliant cross‑border movement of goods. Monitor and assess the impact of global trade policy changes, tariffs, and non‑tariff barriers impacting supply chain and cost structure. Manage trade‑related risk, including export controls compliance (in partnership with Legal). Manage broker relationships. Manage, support and develop local government relationships. Lead and support trade and customs inquiries and audits. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics/Supply Chain, International Trade or related field. May accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training. Advanced degree (JD strongly preferred). 10+ years of experience in trade compliance, supply chain management, or trade law within a global company. 10+ years of people management experience, including global and virtual teams.
