Description

Our client is an award-winning, Chicagoland-based Managed IT Services Partner that has been providing CIO-level advisory support along with on-site and remote IT services since 1996.

We are looking for a dynamic Network Engineer who shares a commitment to communication and client interaction. As a Network Engineer, you will:

• Maintain, configure, and secure the client's network infrastructure;
• Work cross-functionally across the client's enterprises between technology and the rest of their business to design and implement large-scale solutions; and
• Implement established best practices for network operations.

The position is mostly remote, with project-based on-site requirements.

Network Engineer Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supports both operational and engineering functions at client sites;
• Troubleshoots and maintains the client's IT network 24/7;
• Evaluates customer-generated requirements and works with the client to ensure implementation meets their needs;
• Works with technicians and engineering groups both internally and at client locations to troubleshoot and resolve issues as required;
• Prepares operational and technical documentation;
• Mentors junior team members; and
• Performs other duties and assists with special projects as needed.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience configuring, installing, supporting, and maintaining network hardware and software infrastructure including switches, routers, and firewalls;
• Proficient with Cisco Meraki-based networking;
• Able to work on-site in Pingree Grove, IL for projects;
• Able to balance multiple priorities concurrently; and
• Authorized to work for any employer in the US. Unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
