Salary/Pay Rate: $65,000 - $70,000 (Annual wage) Posted: 2 days ago Application Deadline: 09/18/2026, 11:59 PM Job Description: Evergreen Charter School is seeking a High School Biology (Regents) Teacher. The mission of Evergreen Charter School (ECS) is to nurture the intellectual, physical, and social development of children, through a comprehensive program that promotes academic excellence and prepares its students for success in school and in life. The responsibilities of the High School Biology (Regents) Teacher. Will include, but will not be limited to, the following: Support students by implementing research-based strategies to improve outcomes in science. Create a positive, structured learning environment to ensure that students observe the school’s core values and high expectations. Collaborate with fellow grade and or subject level teachers to plan instruction. Implement formative and summative assessments and analyze the data to provide further instruction. Collaborate with classroom teachers for the purpose of improving science instruction and promoting a school-based professional learning community. Demonstrate exemplary classroom literacy practice; model best practices in literacy and improve student achievement levels. Commit to professional growth, participating actively in department meetings, faculty meetings, and professional development initiatives. Participate in the extracurricular activities hosted at ECS, collaborate within the team, and meet all professional responsibilities. Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues. Qualifications: Valid New York State Teaching Certification. Work Location: Hempstead, NY.
