Electronics Quality Technician III

Job Description Silvus Technologies, a leading provider of advanced MANET and MIMO communications systems, is reshaping mesh network technology for mission-critical applications – on the ground, in the air and at sea. Its battle‑proven StreamCaster family of MANET radios and proprietary MN‑MIMO waveform provides the vital communications link for defense, law enforcement and public safety agencies around the world, and in the toughest operational environments. The Electronics Quality Technician‑III reports to the Quality Supervisor on the Operations – Quality Control team. The successful individual will support StreamCaster™ MANET product development and manufacturing. This position is fully onsite, Monday through Friday, at Silvus Technologies’ HQ in the heart of West Los Angeles. Role and Responsibilities Conduct advanced visual inspection and rework per IPC‑J‑STD001 standards. Perform continuity, resistance, and voltage checks to support root‑cause analysis. Build and repair custom cable assemblies, wiring harnesses, and test fixtures. Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and test equipment under supervision. Support RMA processing by performing initial diagnostic checks on returned units. Collaborate with Quality Engineers to identify process improvements and recurring issues. Document inspection results and communicate non‑conformances effectively. Perform other related duties as required. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in electronics assembly, inspection, or rework, or an Associate’s degree in Electronics with 3 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or a related field with 1 year of relevant experience. Proficiency in the use of soldering equipment such as hand irons, bottom burners, and hot‑air stations. Familiarity with basic test equipment (oscilloscope, DMM, power supply). Proficient in Windows‑based data entry and documentation tools. Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts. All employment is contingent upon successful clearance of a background check and drug test. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) under IPC‑A‑610 or IPC J‑STD001. Familiar with low‑voltage and RF PCB assemblies. Experience supporting R&D or prototype environments. Knowledge of ESD controls, calibration tracking, and safety procedures. Compensation $32.40–$34.56 per hour. Pay range is not a guarantee and will vary based on experience and qualifications.
