Behavioral Health Technician

The organization’s services are provided by highly trained professionals, including BCBAs, BCABAs, and Registered Behavior Technicians. Using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), the team gathers data through observation and designs individualized behavior plans based on each child’s needs. Role Description The Behavioral Health Technician is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale Area, with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing ABA-based treatment plans, delivering one-on-one behavioral interventions in home, clinic, school, and community settings, and closely following protocols developed by supervising clinicians. The role involves observing and recording client behavior, collecting and entering data, and reporting progress and challenges to the clinical team. The technician will collaborate with BCBAs and other professionals, support caregivers with behavior strategies, and maintain clear, professional documentation. This position requires consistent adherence to ethical guidelines, active participation in supervision and training, and a commitment to fostering positive outcomes for children and families. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Behavior Analysis and Applied Behavior Analysis to accurately implement individualized behavior plans and interventions. Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to collaborate with clinical teams, interact with caregivers, and document client progress clearly. Candidates should possess Behavioral Intervention skills to support behavior modification, skill acquisition, and generalization across settings. Candidates should possess knowledge of Psychology to understand child development, behavioral principles, and evidence-based practices. Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to obtain it within a defined timeframe is preferred. Experience working with children, especially those with developmental or behavioral needs, in home or community settings is beneficial. Ability to travel within the Miami-Fort Lauderdale Area, manage a flexible schedule, and work both independently and in a team environment. High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, or a related field is an advantage.
