Depending on placement, you may work with students ranging from early childhood through high school, allowing you to influence lives at pivotal stages of development.

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum of three years’ experience in a school environment required
• Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
• Valid Colorado Special Service Provider license for School Social Worker (birth through 21)
• Strong ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators
• Skill in maintenance of detailed case files and progress records
• Must be available to complete district background check and fingerprinting swiftly

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver mental health services that enhance student achievement and social-emotional well-being
• Support students facing attendance challenges, behavioral concerns, or emotional distress
• Offer group and individual counseling, develop treatment plans, and lead workshops as needed
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ counseling or intervention needs
• Refer students and families to appropriate community agencies for additional support
• Maintain open, effective communication with school staff and families to address student issues holistically
• Track student progress, analyze trends, and contribute to intervention strategies
• Remain committed to fulfilling the role through the end of the school year
