RN - Registered Nurse - Vascular Access/PICC Team

Employment Type Full time Shift 12 Hour Day Shift Position Purpose The Registered Nurse RN, within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, will provide care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person’s physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. The RN collaborates in a spirit of teamwork and is accountable for the delivery of patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the organization’s standards, policies, procedures and guidelines. What You Will Do Provide nursing care, ensuring an environment of patient safety, promoting evidence-based practice and quality initiatives, and exhibiting professionalism within the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program. Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients using evidence-based practice. Collaborate with patients and families to develop and implement a plan of care that includes physical, spiritual, and educational components. Accurately and timely communicate pertinent information to appropriate team members, keeping patients and families updated. Document accurately and completely assessments, interventions, and outcomes for patients in accordance with documentation standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines. Assume responsibility and accountability for care provided and documented by other licensed and unlicensed caregivers as appropriate. Minimum Qualifications Graduate from a school of nursing. Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio. For Casual RNs, 2 years of experience is required. All new graduate nurses with less than one (1) year of clinical experience will be automatically enrolled in the Nurse Residency Program.
