We're looking for a Line Cook who is reliable, detail-oriented, and team-focused.

You're someone who takes pride in preparing food that looks and tastes right every time. You thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen and can follow recipes and portion standards consistently while keeping your station clean and safe.

You're comfortable working closely with fellow back-of-house team members, sushi chefs, and front-of-house staff to keep service moving. You enjoy being part of a kitchen team where everyone pulls together during a rush.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with health department regulations and company policies.
• Follow proper food handling, labeling, storage, and rotation procedures using FIFO practices.
• Support efficient kitchen operations by coordinating with fellow BOH team members during peak service periods.
• Assist with food preparation, restocking, and daily opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with BOH and FOH team members to keep service running smoothly.
• Monitor food quality and immediately report issues or shortages to kitchen leadership.
• Follow all safety standards, including knife safety, equipment use, and proper sanitation practices.
• Maintain a positive, team-first attitude and contribute to a respectful, collaborative kitchen culture.
• Demonstrate and uphold the TRAPCHK core values of teamwork, respect, accountability, professionalism, communication, honesty, and kindness.
• Perform other related duties and support business needs as assigned.

Compensation: $18.00 per hour + tips.

What You Bring

• 1+ year of line cook or kitchen experience preferred; we're willing to train the right candidate.
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency in a high-volume environment.
• Strong time-management skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented mindset.
• Valid food handler card obtained prior to your first day of work.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

The Physical Stuff

• Kitchen-based work environment.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to regularly bend and reach and to perform repetitive motions such as chopping, stirring, lifting, and plating.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently (ingredients, equipment, containers).
• Exposure to hot surfaces, sharp tools, cleaning chemicals, and moderate to high noise levels.
• Use of required PPE, including non-slip footwear.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
