District of Columbia-Field Sales Technician Washington, DC, USA Job Description Position Summary: The Field Sales Technician (part time) position is a caring, customer service-oriented role with a demonstrable passion for helping people with hearing loss. This in‑field position provides the opportunity to individually train our customers in using ClearCaptions equipment and service to effectively enrich their lives. As a Field Sales Technician for ClearCaptions, you will work independently in customers’ homes, primarily serving senior citizens, for 20–30 hours per week. This role reports to a Business Development Manager and is based in a local home office. What you will do: Setup and troubleshoot ClearCaptions devices at customers’ homes. Courteously train customers on device usage and features. Provide excellent customer service and adapt to unique needs of individual customers to meet business requirements. Assist Business Development Managers with lead generation activities as needed. Complete service/repair calls as assigned. Accurately maintain customer records in Salesforce. Complete required reports and feedback on customer interactions. Maintain adequate inventory of equipment and supplies to service customers in a timely manner. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Ability to travel up to 95% by automobile in the assigned region (up to a 50‑mile radius). Willing and available to work flexible hours, weekdays typically between 9 am‑6 pm, optional weekends depending on scheduling availability. Work from a local home office equipped with high‑speed Internet. Proficient computer skills and basic internet use. Comfortable working with seniors and people with health conditions or impairments. Reliable, punctual and capable of adapting to constantly changing environments. Excellent people and relationship building skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem‑solving skills. Self‑starter with strong organizational and time‑management skills, self‑directed and able to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a high‑quality, results‑driven, team‑oriented environment. Demonstrated ability to use discretion, make sound decisions, and maintain confidentiality. Proficient in MS Office and modern communication tools for virtual teams (e.g., MS Teams). Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, and walking (95‑100%) Stooped, bent, crouched, reaching, twisting, and grasping (95‑100%) Keyboarding (70‑90%) Viewing computer monitor, tablet, and cell phone requiring close vision (70‑90%) Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds. Work environment is primarily indoors in customers’ homes, exposure to all types of weather and temperature conditions during work, and exposure to hazardous driving and traffic conditions.
