Work Environment

The Surgical Center provides a fast-paced, onsite environment equipped with advanced technology and a multi-disciplinary approach to healthcare. The center operates Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration while providing care to our diverse patient demographic.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments through comprehensive history-taking and physical examinations, ensuring that each patient's needs are met.
• Diagnose and treat both acute and chronic medical conditions, with an emphasis on surgical patients, adapting interventions based on individual patient scenarios.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescribing appropriate medications and therapies.
• Perform minor surgical procedures and assist in more complex interventions, maintaining compliance with safety protocols and best practices.
• Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and preventive care strategies, fostering an informed and proactive approach to health management.
• Coordinate with physicians and specialists to ensure seamless continuity of care, enhancing patients’ overall experience.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHR) to support effective communication within the care team.
• Stay updated with the latest medical advancements and evidence-based practices to continuously improve the quality of care provided.

The Physician Assistant will work primarily with patients requiring surgical interventions as well as those seeking general healthcare services. Qualifications

• Active Physician Assistant license in Texas is required.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program is necessary; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Board certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is mandatory.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient or surgical setting is preferred, though new graduates with strong clinical rotations will also be considered.
• Excellent proficiency in patient evaluation, diagnostic testing, and developing treatment plans.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, maintaining a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and effective medical documentation practices.
