Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 36 Hours Weekly Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor & Delivery unit, maintaining active labor patient ratios of 1:1 and couplet care ratios of 3:1
• Utilize intermediate fetal monitoring equipment and Philips Tracevue monitoring systems
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech electronic health record system
• Float within the hospital to other units as needed to support staffing requirements
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver individualized, high-quality obstetric care to patients and their families

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; Iowa licensure or eligibility required
• Minimum of 1–2 years of Labor & Delivery experience; travel experience may be considered in lieu of additional years
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and S.T.A.B.L.E. certifications required
• Must successfully complete a 10-panel drug screening including opiates
• Must complete Iowa SING background check (criminal and child abuse portions) with full clearance prior to start — no instant or statewide searches accepted
• Mandatory Reporter certification required (Child and Adult); titers required within the last 12 months (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, TB)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in Labor & Delivery
• Familiarity with Meditech EHR and Philips Tracevue fetal monitoring systems
• Experience floating to multiple units within a hospital setting
