Job Title: Inspector Pay Rate: $20 - $25/hr Job Type: CTH/Full-Time Location: Farmington, CT (ONSITE) Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM OR Tuesday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Inspector to support quality inspection activities for aerospace metal components. This role involves performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure parts meet engineering specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience using precision measuring tools, operating CMM equipment, and interpreting technical drawings in a manufacturing environment. Job Responsibilities Perform incoming, first article, in-process, and final inspections following standard procedures. Operate Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) equipment and perform manual bench inspections. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify part dimensions. Read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance. Verify calibration status of inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance. Identify and report defective materials, non-conformances, and unusual conditions to supervision. Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation. Ensure work area and equipment are kept clean, organized, and in compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure product conformance. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. 2-3 years of experience inspecting metal parts, preferably in aerospace or manufacturing environments. Experience using precision measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges). Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Basic shop math skills for measurements and calculations. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or inconsistencies. Experience operating CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) equipment. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with aerospace quality standards and inspection processes.
