As a Veterinary Technician with Purradise Cat Care, you will assist the veterinarians with patient care and treatment, assist with surgery and anesthesia, monitor hospitalized cats, maintain inventory, prepare prescriptions, perform routine in-house laboratory work, perform routine housekeeping tasks, and educate clients regarding veterinary care and procedures.

You don't need to be a walking veterinary textbook on day one, but you must have an uncompromising eye for detail. Feline medicine leaves zero room for careless mistakes. Whether you're handling pharmaceuticals or hospital sanitation, accuracy is everything.

In this role, you will be expected to know and handle:

• Pharmaceutical Safety: Correctly preparing prescriptions and calculating dosages. A misplaced decimal point or a misread label is a life-or-death matter for a cat.
• Disease & Isolation Protocols: Understanding common feline diseases, symptoms, and how they spread. You must be meticulous about cross-contamination—missing a single sanitizing step can put the whole clinic at risk.
• Preventative Care Education: Learning the ins and outs of our wellness and vaccine recommendations so you can accurately educate clients.
• We can teach you the science, but we cannot teach you to care about the details. If you double-check your work, follow instructions to the letter, and notice the little things others miss, you will thrive here. If you tend to rush or overlook small details, this environment will not be a good fit.

You must have at least 2 years of experience working in a veterinary setting as a veterinary technician or in an equivalent position. Credentialed (licensed) veterinary technician preferred.
