To learn more about Stryker’s Hip Business Unit portfolio click here: What You Will Do Design, develop, and verify mechanical components for medical devices under supervision. Assist in prototyping and bench testing to validate design concepts and performance. Support root cause analysis and resolve technical challenges using data-driven approaches aligned with product requirements. Conduct research and feasibility studies to inform product design decisions. Translate customer needs into actionable design inputs that guide development. Understand product use and clinical procedures to inform design strategy. Create and refine engineering documentation in compliance with design control procedures. Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, and Project Management teams. What You Will Need Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering. Entry-level (minimum 0 years) relevant work experience. Preferred Qualifications Fundamental understanding of mechanical engineering practices and tools. Basic knowledge of design principles within a regulated environment. Familiarity with CAD or CAE modeling tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo). Basic knowledge of analysis tools and statistical methods. These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location. Field-based – You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based. Onsite – Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category. Hybrid – You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
