Job Description Perform purchasing functions, assist in setting up new vendors, terms and conditions, and negotiate pricing. Required Skills Computer skills: Excel, Word, Sage 100 Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven negotiation skills Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Thorough understanding of purchasing procedures and policies Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software Essential Job Functions Purchase goods and services according to the company's policies and procedures Coordinate with managers to maintain inventory levels Evaluate vendors based on price, reliability, capability, and previous transaction history Work with vendors to negotiate volume and cash transaction discounts, and other available discounts Ensure that purchasing documents are complete and accurate and include appropriate and reasonable terms and conditions Maintain pricing histories and other vendor records Perform other related duties as assigned Backup for other duties as assigned This is a safety sensitive position.
