As a Sheet Metal Fabricator, you will transform metal sheets into precisely engineered components for various work orders. You will be responsible for cutting, bending, shaping, and assembling sheet metal according to design specifications, utilizing press brake and laser cutting machines.

Responsibilities

• Cut, bend, shape, and assemble sheet metal according to design specifications.
• Operate press brake and laser cutting machines with precision.
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication.
• Perform metal cutting, bending, and welding tasks.
• Utilize measuring tools to maintain high-quality standards.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of experience in sheet metal fabrication.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Expertise in metal cutting, bending, and shaping.
• Experience with laser cutting and press brake machines.
• High school diploma, GED, or applicable schooling in a vocational/technical program.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a shipyard or welding setting is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail.

Work Environment

This position operates on the 1st shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm in an open warehouse facility. The indoor/outdoor environment is equipped with multiple industrial-sized fans at every station, ensuring comfort despite the absence of air conditioning. Water and electrolytes are provided to support the well-being of our team members. The dress code is very casual, with a requirement for steel-toed boots. Approximately 20 people work in production, fostering a collaborative atmosphere.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dover, NH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
