Evans & Dixon is currently seeking to add an IT Specialist to join our expanding and fast-paced Kansas City office. Candidates must be responsible, able to multi-task, possess the ability to continuously build and improve IT knowledge; have excellent technical and interpersonal skills; have a creative and diplomatic approach to problem solving and a keen sense of organization. We are looking for self-disciplined candidates with a strong work ethic.Responsibilities:Work closely with IT Staff and IT consultants to maintain proper function of the firm's technology systems and environmentFollow company IT security protocols and assist in maintaining network integrity and compliance standardsRespond to user inquiries and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.Log, track, and resolve tickets using help desk software; escalate unresolved issues to appropriate IT personnel when necessary.Ensure timely notification to users on system changes and system outagesAssist with setup and deployment of workstations, laptops, mobile devices, conference room equipment, and peripheral equipment.Assist with planned expansionOccasional travel requiredOther duties may be assignedSkills and Specifications:Technical Skills- Ability to assess own strengths and weaknesses; Pursues training and development opportunities; Strives to continuously build knowledge; Shares expertise with othersWritten Communication- Ability to write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar; Varies writing style to meet needs; Able to read and interpret written information.Teamwork - Balances team and individual responsibilities; Exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views; Gives and welcomes feedback; Contributes to building a positive team spirit; Puts success of team above own interest; Able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives; Supports everyone's effort to succeed; Provides aid to other units during non-peak workload periods.Organizational Support- Follows policies and procedures; Completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; Supports organization's goals and objectives; Benefits organization though outside activities; Supports affirmative action and respects diversity.Education and Qualifications:Associate or Bachelor's degree inInformation TechnologyComputer ScienceComputer Information SystemsOther related technical fieldsPrevious Helpdesk experience.Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Proficient in basic network cabling tasks, such as creating patch cables and installing structured cabling.Compensation & Work ScheduleThis is a full-time position.Ability to work 40 hours a weekThis position is based at our downtown Kansas City office and will spend significant time at our Overland Park office.About Us:Evans & Dixon provides Midwest business clients with sophisticated legal advice, responsive communications, and hands-on industry knowledge.
