Physician - Psychiatry - Geriatric

Job Description We are seeking a psychiatrist to provide comprehensive inpatient psychiatric care for geriatric patients within a 20-bed specialized Geriatric-Psychiatry unit. The candidate will work collaboratively with a dedicated Clinical Coordinator/Social Worker who has extensive training in geriatric psychiatry, as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes therapists, counselors, case managers, psychiatrists, and nurse practitioners. The position involves participation in a weekend call rotation with a ratio of 1:6 for inpatient coverage. The psychiatrist will focus on delivering patient-centered, evidence-based interventions that address the multifaceted medical, psychiatric, and social needs of older adults. Additionally, the role includes coordinating care in alignment with system-level behavioral health leadership and resources to ensure a cohesive treatment approach. Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry Possession of a New York State medical license (or eligibility) Active DEA license Fellowship trained in Geriatric Psychiatry Clean malpractice and licensing history Submission of a current NPDB Self Query Report (within the last 30 days) Additional License Requirements Active DEA license is implied Visa support assistance is not provided Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry is mandatory New York State medical license (or eligibility) is required #J-18808-Ljbffr 77 consultants
