Overview Digital Content Producer - City Journal (California) Location : New York/California (remote work is also an option) Manhattan Institute for Policy Research (MI) is a community of scholars, journalists, and civic leaders who are united by a shared commitment to advancing economic opportunity, individual liberty, and the rule of law in America and its great cities. We are seeking a like-minded Digital Content Producer who will focus on amplifying digital assets across the social media landscape. The producer will work with MI Senior Fellow Christopher F. Rufo and Jordan Chamberlain, Director of Rapid Response. In this role, you will be responsible for amplifying City Journal’s content by creating, editing, and packaging multimedia content for distribution across platforms like X, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube. A successful candidate will be a creative video editor with strong organizational skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about using digital tools to expand the reach of serious policy ideas. The goal is not only to reach a large audience, but to make real and immediate change by reaching decision-makers. Understanding both the social media landscape as a whole and having fluency within each individual platform is essential to success. Responsibilities Amplify City Journal’s content by creating, editing, and packaging multimedia content for distribution across platforms like X, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube. Collaborate with MI leadership to align digital content with policy-focused messaging and goals. Manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment and maintain high-quality output. Qualifications 2+ years of hands-on experience in video editing, social media content production, digital media, and broadcast clipping.
