Certifications: BLS, ARRT RT (R) (CT) and SCRQSA (R) (CT)

Must-Have: Siemens experience and Level 1 Trauma experience

Description: Agency must supply radiation badge. Position specialty is CT Scan Tech. Daily caseload per tech is 6 per hour. The schedule consists of 3x12 hour days, from 7 AM to 7:30 PM, with a holiday rotation. On-call rotation is required with staff. Travelers are expected to attend all staff meetings. First-time travelers are accepted if they have previous experience. Client badge must be provided by the agency; it is not provided for travelers. There is a radius rule of 60 miles, and locals are accepted on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate. All time off requests must be included at the time of submission; approval will depend on unit needs. The facility is allowed to call off 1 shift every 2 weeks. Type of facility includes teaching and Level 1 trauma designation. Total staffed beds are 865. Charting will be done using Epic. The unit will primarily focus on cardiac exams, which constitute 75% of the workload. Experience with interventional radiology procedures, biopsies, and vascular studies is preferred. Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. All labs must be completed within 72 hours of signing if within 90 days of start. If vacations are planned during the compliance process, all labs must be completed prior to departure. Modules are non-billable, with an average of 4 hours spent on modules. Module hours are included in non-billable orientation hours and must be completed pre-start.
