Transportation Project Manager

Manage roadway design projects for municipal and DOT clients, including reconstruction, resurfacing, safety improvements, and intersection redesign Serve as the primary point of contact for municipal agencies and DOT clients Lead development of construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and project reports for roadway geometry, grading, drainage, and traffic features Supervise internal design teams and coordinate with subconsultants and multidisciplinary specialists Oversee permitting processes and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including DOT design standards Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules; monitor progress and ensure timely, cost-effective delivery Provide technical oversight during construction, including shop drawing reviews, site visits, and contractor coordination Mentor junior engineers Lead proposal preparation and interviews for municipal and state roadway opportunities Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Professional Engineer (PE) license in Massachusetts Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in roadway design At least 3 years managing projects Strong understanding of DOT design standards, manuals, and specifications Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer Experience managing multidisciplinary design teams and project schedules Strong communication skills and ability to lead client meetings and public presentations Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Preferred: Experience with DOT funding programs such as
