SR. HR Generalist

The HR Generalist will manage day‑to‑day administration of policies and programs across recruiting, compensation and benefits, training, employee and labor relations, safety, and team member support. Key Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate resolution of employee concerns and complaints, coaching/discipline, investigations, and performance management to maintain a positive employee environment. Conduct internal and external recruitment: staffing needs, ads, application screening, interviews, reference/background checks, job offers, and new‑hire onboarding. Serve as a resource for managers, supervisors, and employees on HR policies, procedures, and benefits. Maintain plant policies, procedures, and HR documents such as job descriptions and work rules. Enter and update employee data in HRIS and payroll systems, verify wages, and correct errors. Compile time and attendance data and upload to payroll; coordinate attendance activities and update Kronos. Generate reports and complete employee transactions in Workday to support payroll. Coordinate employee functions and activities with assistance from employee committees. Support internal and external audits. Lead change initiatives and promote proactive Employee Relations Programs. Provide coaching to management teams on people‑planning processes. Adhere to the Saputo code of ethics and values. Perform any other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent professional experience. SHRM PHR certification preferred. Business maturity and integrity, especially with highly confidential information. Ability to influence others with a credible point of view. Ability to work collaboratively with all departments and management levels. Understanding of and ability to add value to Saputo’s business.
