Exciting Opportunity for an RN - Pre/Post Op - Day Surgery Job Description: - Location: Chattanooga, TN - Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM - Unit: Preop Holding/Day Surgery - General Information: - Number of Beds: 472 - Unit Staffing: Unit secretaries and tech availability in Day Surgery - Equipment: Cardiac monitors, ultrasound, EKG machine - Documentation System: Meditech - Scheduling Requirements: - 3-12 hour shifts (consideration for 4-10 hour shifts) - One closing day per week - Shift starts at 5:00 AM, 5:30 AM, 6:00 AM, 6:30 AM or 7:00 AM depending on surgery schedule - Usually starts at 5:30 AM unless it's a closing day - Closing day schedule: 7:00 AM until the last patient leaves - Patient Experience: - Experience necessary for preparing surgical patients and providing Phase 2 recovery - Hiring Profile: - Requested Skill Set: - IV Starts - Moderate sedation - Preop/Holding & Phase 2 recovery experience - Must Have: - IV start skills - Moderate sedation experience - Experience in preparing surgical patients for surgery and providing Phase 2 recovery - Advanced Skills Needed: - Procedures performed on unit: - Nerve blocks - Arterial lines - Central lines - Swan - Certifications Required: - ACLS - PALS - Dress Code: - Required uniform: Blue scrubs - Additional Information: - No weekends or holidays - Excellent teamwork on unit Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol): At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
