Opportunity: SurgeU is seeking a creative, audience-focused Social Media Specialist to lead the strategy, launch, execution, and growth of our organic social media presence across the SurgeU brand ecosystem. This role is responsible for expanding brand awareness, building engaged communities, and growing audiences across multiple initiatives, with Life Surge as our live event experience. The ideal candidate understands social media as more than a publishing platform. This person must understand how to build brands, grow communities, launch new initiatives, identify cultural trends, analyze audience behavior, and create content that captures attention and drives meaningful engagement throughout the customer lifecycle. Responsibilities: Develop and execute differentiated organic social media strategies for both Life Surge and SurgeU. Build platform-specific content strategies tailored to the unique audience demographics, customer journeys, and business objectives of each brand. Ensure each brand maintains a distinct voice, positioning, and content strategy rather than duplicating messaging across channels. Identify audience insights, platform trends, and emerging opportunities to continuously improve social performance. Develop recurring content series that strengthen brand recognition and community engagement. Lead the launch and long-term growth of SurgeU's organic social media presence. Continue evolving Life Surge's social presence to support brand awareness, community engagement, and live event attendance. Showcase attendee transformation stories, speaker insights, behind-the-scenes content, event experiences, and mission-driven storytelling. Balance promotional content with inspirational, educational, and community-focused content that strengthens long-term audience engagement. Develop audience-specific content strategies based on customer personas, interests, demographics, and lifecycle stages. Own and maintain the organic social media content calendar across all platforms. Translate campaign plans into creative requirements by partnering with the Creative Team on copy, graphics, photography, and video assets. Manage community engagement on various platforms. Develop content that captures customer stories and fosters positive brand reputation. Ensure content is optimized for each platform's best practices and audience expectations. Optimize social media profiles to improve audience engagement and customer experience, continuously improving strategies based on platform performance and audience behavior. Develop monthly reporting that measures: Audience growth, Engagement rates, Reach and impressions, Video performance, Community sentiment, Audience demographics, Top-performing content. Execute social media campaigns supporting product launches, new funnels, live events, educational programs, executive thought leadership, and brand awareness initiatives. Partner with Creative, Performance Marketing, CRM, and Brand Strategy to amplify integrated marketing campaigns across organic social channels. Qualifications: 2-4+ years of experience managing social media for brands or organizations. Strong understanding of platform-specific best practices across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, and emerging platforms. Experience developing content calendars and managing publishing workflows. Strong copywriting and storytelling skills. Experience growing online communities and increasing audience engagement. Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred experience with the following platforms: Sprout Social Meta Business Suite YouTube Studio LinkedIn Analytics Canva Adobe Creative Suite Google Analytics AI-assisted content planning and scheduling tools Experience in live events, education, faith-based organizations, consumer brands, or mission-driven organizations is highly preferred.
