Overview Experience spine‑chilling excitement as Busch Gardens Williamsburg celebrates over 25 years of Howl‑O‑Scream! Join our team to deliver terrifying chills and thrills during the Howl‑O‑Scream 2026 event, running Friday, September 11th – Sunday, November 1st. Audition Eligibility and Dates Alumni Auditions are for invited Scare Squad alumni only. Auditions held on Saturday, June 6th and Sunday, June 7th, 10AM–4PM. Current Busch Gardens or Water Country USA Ambassadors must audition on July 23rd or July 25th, 2026; they are ineligible for the alumni Auditions. What you get to do Perform as part of award‑winning Scare‑Event performances and provide a top‑notch scare product to guests. Participate in employee‑only events such as ride nights & special event previews. Enjoy employee discounts and complimentary tickets to all United Parks and Resorts (except Discovery Cove). Explore leadership opportunities (e.g., Captain). Make lifelong friendships and join a legendary Entertainment Family. What it takes to succeed Must be at least 16 years old. Must attend a live audition on the scheduled dates. Must be an invited Scare Squad alumni. Show outgoing performance ability, story‑telling, and great showmanship. Be a team player with positive attitude; participate in all physical and vocal warm‑ups and cool‑downs. Ability to perform repetitive movement and vocalizations for multiple hours. Must wear makeup and/or masks. Comfortable working in dark conditions, extreme temperatures, and around theatrical effects such as stage fog, lighting, and sound effects. Must have flexibility in schedule and availability for the duration of the event. Experience is not required; just a passion for Halloween. Preparation for audition Learn a dance combination and participate in stamina exercises. Costumed character auditions based on movement, non‑verbal communication, and physical coordination. Arrive early to stretch and warm up before the audition. Wear form‑fitting dance attire that allows full range of movement and appropriate shoes; do not wear jeans.
