Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will provide essential direct and indirect nursing care under the proficient direction of a Registered Nurse, aligning with established policies and procedures to optimize your skills and contribute to our patient-centered mission.

• Provides quality patient care, including comfort and hygiene measures, preventative skin care, safety measures, transport, and nutritional and elimination needs.

• Promptly answers call lights and responds to patient needs. Reports patient status changes and needs to Registered Nurse accurately and in a timely manner.

• Accurately documents vital signs, input/output, nutritional intake, personal hygiene, weights, and other patient care performed and reports findings promptly to Registered Nurse.

• Maintains thorough and confidential maintenance of patient charts and records.

• Assists with safe and appropriate delegated patient care tasks which are directly supervised by the nurse.

• Provides person-centered care with sensitivity and respect for the human experience in a collaborative fashion with other team members.

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Diploma/G.E.D.

• Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program

• State registered CNA license

Preferred

• Six (6) months previous CNA or healthcare experience.

Where You'll Work

The 7th Floor Medical Surgical department at St. Anthony Hospital is a medical surgical unit where we primarily treat septic patients. Our department has 36 beds, and we see a range of surgical patients, ETOH withdrawal, cellulitis and treat many chronic conditions such as COPD and CHF. We have a great culture focused on teamwork and positivity. Our nurse communication scores have been some of the highest in this Magnet® designated hospital. We are an innovative unit, often where hospital-wide projects being. We are looking for dynamic, hard-working people, who are looking for a strong medical surgical floor. $18.00 - $27.67 /hour
