Maintenance EngineerDanville, Illinois, United States — thyssenkrupp Crankshaft Co LLCYour ResponsibilitiesSalary range based on experience/education: $70,000 - $85,000 / annuallyShift: 2-2-3 rotation, 5a-5pmThe Maintenance Engineer reports to the Senior Controls Engineer and is responsible for hands-on troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining production equipment to improve machine availability, reliability, and efficiency. The position systematically addresses equipment issues, performs corrective and preventive maintenance, and supports reliability improvement activities.Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing production equipment (hands on), including corrective and preventive maintenanceAddressing and analyzing downtime occurrences and equipment failuresPlanning and implementation of preventive and/or predictive maintenance activitiesImproving equipment reliability and repair qualityCreate and maintain documentation related to repair quality and work instructionsEvaluating and completing P.Ms on machineryCoordinate and participate in maintenance activities in assigned areas, providing technical support and hands-on assistance as required.Support the development of an effective spare parts inventory systemChampion for documentation creation and control to improve repair quality and reduce time for repair on planned and unplanned activitiesYour ProfileQualifications:Education/Credentials/Certifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Technology related field, or 6+ years of experience in a technical field in a manufacturing environmentLength of Experience Previous experience (3+) in manufacturing in a maintenance or engineering role preferred.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skillsAbility to effectively use mechanical measurement, alignment, hydraulic/pneumatic diagnostic, and condition-monitoring tools to troubleshoot, inspect, and evaluate industrial machinery.Automated manufacturing equipmentCNC experience is desiredExperience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Knowledge of mechanical power transmission systems, spindles, bearings, ball screws, guideways, couplings, pumps, and related machine componentsAbility to use mechanical measurement and diagnostic toolsExcellent oral and written language abilityAbility to learn and apply maintenance best practicesExcellent reasoning and problem-solving abilityAbility to pay extreme attention to detailExcellent organizational skillsAbility to collect and interpret dataAnalyticalExcellent computer skillsProficiency in Microsoft OfficeProficient in English LanguageAbility to work independently as well as on a teamWalking in a manufacturing setting with multiple stairs and inclinesYour BenefitsWe offer an outstanding Benefits Package that includes:Company Tuition Reimbursement Package.
