About This Role The Staff Nurse for the Mount Sinai nursing float pool is a Registered Professional Nurse who provides safe, competent quality care to a designated group of patients across various units, utilizing nursing theory and research. Highlights Pay: $71.3368/hour Location: New York, NY Facility: Mount Sinai Hospital Department/Unit: RN Float Pool - MSH Schedule: Full-Time, Night shift What You'll Do Deliver patient care incorporating the tenets of Relationship Centered Care. Assess and evaluate patient care needs using critical thinking skills. Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in nursing care delivery. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team on care plans. Prioritize patient care aspects including teaching and planning. Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care and health promotion. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team. Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing. Perform charge nurse duties as assigned. Document nursing practice to support quality and performance improvement initiatives. Requirements Education: Graduation from an accredited Nursing program. BSN required, ADN acceptable if matriculated in a BSN program. Experience: Relevant clinical competence in assigned nursing practice; new graduates must possess current knowledge of the nursing process. Licenses & Certifications: Current RN License in New York State. BCLS certification required. ACLS certification preferred.
