About This Role The Staff Nurse in the 9E Telemetry unit at Mount Sinai Morningside is responsible for providing comprehensive care to assigned patients, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, and intervention. This role is ideal for nurses who are dedicated to patient care and collaboration within a healthcare team. Highlights Pay: $64.2353/hour Location: New York, NY Facility: Mount Sinai Morningside Department/Unit: Nursing 9e Telemetry - STL Schedule: Full-Time, Night shift What You'll Do Conduct nursing assessments based on interview, examination, observation, and review of patient records. Ensure patient progress is reflected in progress notes and revised care plans. Plan discharges consistent with the patient’s status and facilitate inter-departmental communication. Communicate information to patients based on their level of awareness and readiness to learn. Support orientation of new staff members and act as a preceptor and resource person. Function as a professional role model and mentor for students and volunteers. Organize patient care assignments reflecting patient needs and personnel skill levels. Communicate patient conditions requiring additional intervention to leadership. Participate in the development of other staff members. Reflect collaborative efforts in meeting patient and unit needs through communication. Requirements Education Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required. Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) with matriculation in a BSN program acceptable if graduation is within the year. Experience 1+ year of nursing experience required. Licenses & Certifications Current RN License in New York. BCLS certification required. ACLS certification required. PALS certification required (for specific departments). Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certificate required for specific departments.
