Empower student success in a dynamic school setting as a skilled School Psychologist on a contract basis. This unique opportunity near Silver Spring, MD offers a balanced, part-time schedule of 20 hours per week, combining impactful in-person assessments with flexible virtual responsibilities.
Key Qualifications:
- Active certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments in school environments
- Proficient in managing and attending virtual IEP meetings
- Strong skills in report writing and documentation
- Effective communicator with students, staff, and families
- Comfortable adapting between in-person and remote professional tasks
What You'll Do:
- Conduct comprehensive, in-person assessments to identify student strengths, challenges, and needs
- Participate in virtual IEP meetings, contributing essential insights and recommendations
- Prepare clear, thorough written reports based on assessment findings and team discussions
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student growth and well-being
- Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality at all times
- Make data-driven recommendations to optimize educational outcomes for diverse learners
