Anticipated Schedule: Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends. Shifts are 8 hours and may be scheduled between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Sonographer I:Follows clearly defined diagnostic sonography procedures to deliver high quality images to physicians and other health care providers for the diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and prevention of injury or disease. Integrates education, technical competence and patient interaction skills to execute safe and precise procedures to deliver accurate results in a timely manner. Gains confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. Sonographer II:
Competently performs routine and specialized sonography procedures of moderate complexity to produce quality images to physicians and other health care providers for the diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and prevention of injury or disease. Works independently, exercising sound judgment, and executing developed clinical skills on challenging diagnostic procedures and situations to deliver accurate results in a timely manner. Gains confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. May also be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or orient other staff to the department. Sonographer III:

Education:
Graduation from an accredited formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program OR possession of ARDMS evidencing completion of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
Certification & Licensure:
ARDMS-American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer within 90 days of hire
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Upon Hire
Skills & Knowledge:
General knowledge of diagnostic sonography principles, procedures, and views as well as the operation and maintenance of imaging equipment.
Capable of performing routine sonographic examinations as well as a basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Possess solid written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people.
Good time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies, procedures, and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadline.
Basic knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) and related information systems (Radiology (RIS), laboratory (LIS), electronic health records (EHR), EPIC, and picture archive and communication system (PACS).
Work under close supervision or within clearly defined procedures to complete assignments within established timeframes.
Use existing procedures to identify and solve routine or standard problems.
Ensure the privacy of each patient’s protected health information (PHI).
Build collaborate relationships with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.

Typical Experience:
2 years of recent relevant experience.
Skills & Knowledge:
Intermediate knowledge of diagnostic sonography principles, procedures, views, and equipment, including some experience responding to traumas and various hospital emergencies.
Proficient in performing sonographic examinations with a solid understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology so as to recognize, prioritize and communicate suspicious or abnormal results.
Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people.
Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadline
Working knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) and related information systems (Radiology (RIS), laboratory (LIS), electronic health records (EHR), EPIC, and picture archive and communication system (PACS).

Pay Range is $71.98 to $100.77 / hour. Sonographer I Pay Range is $71.98 to $100.77 / hour. Sonographer II Pay Range is $75.88 to $105.81 / hour. Sonographer III Pay Range is $83.15 to $116.40 / hour.The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.
