Requirements The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and ensuring the restaurant meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. The General Manager works with the leader to set the restaurant’s goals and creates a plan to achieve them. To meet restaurant goals, the General Manager leads a team of Department Managers who have specific responsibilities within the restaurant. This includes helping the Department Managers set their own goals, following up on their progress, and providing coaching and direction to improve their departments. Improving the departments leads to overall restaurant improvement. The General Manager may also be responsible for hiring and developing Department and Shift Managers to ensure the restaurant has the right team for the future. Candidates must have previous General Manager experience. A background in quick‑service restaurants or McDonald’s management experience is required.
