Sales Manager - Foodology (Food Ingredients)

Job Summary We are looking for a motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join our Foodology (Food Ingredients) team. You will advise our Sales Account Managers to achieve profitable growth for targeted products, markets, and customers, and mentor team members in selling skills. What You'll Do Build and maintain sales territories and assign accounts to improve productivity. Evaluate team member efficiency through tracking account activity and sales and margin growth and implement improvement plans as necessary. Mentor Sales Account Managers on market-based pricing strategies and ensure regular reviews and updates. Assist in hiring and training new team members. Coordinate and implement local sales strategy to support Univar Solutions’ product and marketing growth plans. Conduct joint sales calls with the team to provide coaching, recommend techniques, and increase product knowledge. Use and advocate for the CRM system, maintaining customer profiles, contacts, work notes, and activity management. Ensure accurate communication between local sales and corporate accounts and that support actions are implemented. What You'll Need Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Chemistry preferred. Minimum of 8 years of experience in sales or a commercial position with broad knowledge of chemical distribution; Food Ingredients industry experience preferred. Proven sales management experience leading a team or mentoring and building talent. Ability to develop and grow positive relationships with key customer contacts and suppliers. Strong decision‑making ability balancing customer needs and company objectives. Strong PC skills including Excel, Outlook, and CRM (Salesforce). Location This is a home‑based opportunity. Preference for candidates in California, Arizona, Oregon, or Washington. Pay & Benefits The salary range is $130,330–$195,500 USD. The specific salary may be influenced by experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and location. The role is eligible for incentive pay.
