- Setting up and operating lathes, cutters, borers, millers, grinders, presses, drills, and CNC machines
- Aligning and positioning tools, gears, cams, and templates to meet exact specifications
- Performing test cycles to verify timing, clearance, and tolerances
- Troubleshooting and resolving machine setup issues
- Making program edits and adjustments directly on CNC machines
- Reading blueprints and layouts to plan work sequences and tooling
- Training and mentoring team members as needed
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives like kaizen and cycle time reduction.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, technical certificate from a vocational school a plus
- 3-5 years of experience in CNC machine setup (preferred) & manual machining
- Understanding of machine changeovers and adjustments
- Familiar with CNC programming & CAD/CAM software
- Familiarity with coolant and cutting oils
- Proficiency in technical drawings & executing based on the drawing
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Windows)
- Experience with CNC machines; knowledge of Fanuc G & M codes is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, good teamwork & ability to work independently
