Construction Quality Engineer

Trident Consulting is seeking a " Construction Quality Engineer " for one of our clients in "St Louis, Missouri" A global leader in business and technology services. Job Title: Construction Quality Engineer Location: St Louis, Missouri Pay Rate: $60 – $65/hr. on W2 Duration: 12 Months (Extension Possible) Schedule: Monday – Friday | 40 Hours/Week Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Construction Quality Engineer to oversee quality assurance and quality control activities for construction projects. This role will ensure construction work, materials, and processes meet project specifications, regulatory standards, safety requirements, and quality expectations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in QA/QC within construction environments, the ability to interpret engineering drawings, and experience working with contractors and project teams to drive quality initiatives Key Responsibilities Develop and implement QA/QC plans for construction projects Perform site inspections and quality audits to ensure compliance with design standards and specifications Review and approve quality documentation including inspection reports, test plans, and material submissions Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions Maintain quality records, reports, and documentation for stakeholders Support project teams with training and guidance on quality processes and standards Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, safety requirements, and construction regulations Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical preferred), Construction Management, or related discipline 5–10 years of QA/QC experience within construction environments Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality standards Experience with quality management systems and QA/QC processes Ability to read, interpret, and navigate engineering drawings and models Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams Preferred Qualifications Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Quality Management Professional (QMP), or similar certifications Experience supporting Life Sciences, GMP, pharmaceutical, biotech, or clean room projects Experience working in regulated construction environments About Trident Consulting Trident Consulting is an award-winning staffing and consulting firm headquartered in San Ramon, CA.
